Coarse feed wheel must be closer to the user for fatigue free sectioning.

Precise orientation system: 8° x/y precision orientation system with calibrated controls for quick orientation of specimen for re-cut. System must have provision to rapidly return to exact zero position which is marked by colored indicators.

Hand wheel brake to allow locking of hand wheel in upper position and locking system below to lock in any position.

Section thickness feed to the specimen from 0.5-60 µm with increments of

0-2 µm in 0.5 µm steps

2 - 10 µm in 1 µm steps

10 – 20 µm in 2 µm steps

20-60 µm in 5 µm steps

Relative humidity: maximum 80% non-condensing.
